Westy is dedicated to serving the non-profit community of our surrounding areas. We value all the noble work non-profits do for others and in turn, we want to assist them.
Serving Our Communities
For 30 years, the 14 Westy Centers have been providing discounted storage space, hosting fundraisers and events, serving as a dropoff for collection drives, providing meeting space and lending our trucks to hundreds of non-profits ranging from grassroots organizations, to hospitals, to schools and everything in between. If you have an organization we can help, please let us know.
We proudly work with hundreds of non-profits

Hear from the Community
Most of the professional apparel distributed by Dress for Success Mid-Fairfield County comes to us from generous women in the community. Westy Self Storage has played a critical role in our mission by serving as drop-off sites for donations in Connecticut and New York. Westy’s generosity enables us to continue to provide targeted services to hundreds of women, at no-cost who require help each year.
Sarah Lewis, Program Manager,
Dress for Success Mid-Fairfield County
Westy has contributed to General Needs Ltd., at the East Northport location, by providing us with a home that has enabled us to grow as the years progress. Westy Self Storage has contributed to support our efforts with evening meeting space to engage more volunteers as well as community-based business sponsors. Without Westy Self Storage, Generals Needs would not have been able to provide over 4,616 items and 1,224 meals served in 2018.
Lonnie Sherman, President/Founder,
General Needs Ltd.
Westy Self Storage has been so generous in providing support for Johnson Public Library’s events – we can’t thank them enough for all of their help and ongoing dedication to give back to the community.
Laurie Meeske, Community Outreach Librarian,
Johnson Public Library
As a nonprofit we are always looking for people and companies to work with that care about our organization, are professional and donate their services or venue so that we can make the most of our fundraising events. We have had several events at Westy and their staff has gone above and beyond to help us make our benefits successful. By providing this wonderful service to us, it benefits the community as a whole. Thank you Westy for all you do!
Lesli Malle, Board of Directors,
Life is Music, Music is Life
The folks at Westy instantly understood that MVP Basketball Camp is a non-profit community-based organization and that any savings they can provide goes to fund scholarships for kids in the community. Westy went the extra yard to provide us the space we needed at a price that fit our budget. On top of that, they were gracious to offer use of their beautiful atrium for a staff event. Their staff is welcoming and provides excellent service.
John Nemsick, Director of Operations,
MVP Basketball Camp
Our success would simply not be possible without the ongoing generosity of Westy since 2004. Providing us with storage for the hundreds of Santa gift bags, use of the lobby for our event and lending us Westy trucks to make our Christmas delivery are just some of the vitally important and generous things that Westy does to support Operation Santa. Westy is extremely supportive, helpful and accommodating and an incredible part of our community.
Kaisa Newhams, Founder,
Operation Santa
We are delighted to be working with Westy. The office staff is very helpful. We are using the storage unit to store materials used for our blanket-making activities. We donate hand-made blankets to children in need. Fabric and yarn that we receive are kept in a clean, safe place; the hours of the center make it easy to pick up these items so I can bring them to our volunteers. We greatly appreciate the courtesy of a discount for our unit.
Adele Shapiro, Coordinator,
Westchester-Rockland Project Linus
Stepping into the cavernous entry of Westy Self Storage is like entering another world… a very beautiful one. The entire facility is sparkling clean and comfortable which helps our fundraising team make Tricky Tray baskets for our events in immaculate surroundings. Since the facility, with its solicitous staff, is open every day with easy access off Rt. 4, ample parking, loading docks and elevators, who could ask for more?!
MariAnn Martin, Volunteer,
Save The Animals Rescue Team, II
Westy Self Storage is a great community partner! From hosting events to supporting our mission and giving us storage space to use, we truly value having them in our community.
Alexa Fantacone, Executive Director,
Teaneck Creek Conservancy
Westy Self Storage is a true believer in the work of non-profits. They have been very helpful with our need for storage space. It has been a pleasure working with Westy over the past several years.
Jennifer Johnson,
The Tiny Miracles Foundation
We are overwhelmed by the amount of support Westy continues to provide. They have truly been a model community partner over the years ensuring that our storage requirements are met and that logistical needs for drop offs and delivery of thousands of donated prom dresses are accomplished seamlessly. We could not help make prom dreams come true without Westy.
Simone Solz Leo, Executive Director, Long Island Volunteer Center
We are so grateful to have Westy’s support for our fundraising efforts. They have graciously hosted our event for the past few years and we could not ask for a more perfect setting than their grand lobby.
Christian Jurak, President, The Gilbert and Sullivan Light Opera Company of Long Island
